Virginia's Annual Gospel Singing Convention

I would like to express my appreciation to everyone who helped with our first walk-a-thon, the March for Gospel Music, held last Saturday, June 06, 2009.  This was our first event of this type to raise funds for the Convention, August 7 &8. 

our hearts were warmed by our friends and family who joined in to help us work, walk, sing, eat, play games, and fellowship.

Thanks to Jeanie Cofer and her helpers for providing the delicious hot dogs and bbq and homemade goodies. 

Debbie Hendricks did a great job with the yard sale items, and although we had to have it inside the gym, it provided us all with some great bargains!

Donna Williams and Brenda Gregory handled the registration and prizes for us and sold the great t- shirts.  if you would like one, please contact us.  they are $10 each and have our website logo and music notes on them.

Shanna Simmons kept the cake walk going and lots of sweets were taken home by the winners.

Joyce Baker and friends from N.C. brought the little train, which the kids enjoyed so very much!

How can we say thanks to the singing groups who came throughout the day to bless us with their music.
